Hotel Barchetta Excelsior ****The Hotel Barchetta Excelsior is one of Como's grand old-style hotels, with balconies overlooking Lake Como. The hotel is located on the central Piazza Cavour, close to Como's Tourist Information Office. 
Metropole Suisse au Lac ****Established in 1892, the historic hotel offers a choice of hotel room and suites, which are comfortable if somewhat faded. Most rooms have views of Lake Como. Located in Piazza Cavour, the heart of Como
Hotel Terminus ****Highly-recommended by guidebooks, but with mixed reports from past guests, the Terminus has a fine location in a Liberty-style building overlooking the lake. Elegant and tastefully restored.
Hotel Engadina ***The Hotel Engadina is a recently-refurbished hotel with twenty-four rooms, close to the football stadium and a short walk from the railway station, with air conditioning and parking. Not pretty or luxurious, but a good and reasonably-priced option.
Hotel In Riva al Lago *In Riva al Lago is a centrally-located budget option (the hotel's lakeside position is indicated at the bottom of the photograph to the left). Past guests have praised the hotel highly as a practical and comfortable accommodation choice.
Menaggio Hotels
Hotel Du Lac ***An affordable place to stay, the Hotel du Lac is central and comfortable. If you're on a budget break, some rooms in an annexe have shared bathrooms and cheap prices. The accommodation has some good reviews from past guests.
Hotel Sonenga ***The three-star Hotel Sonenga is located uphill from the centre of Menaggio, overlooking Lake Como. With good reviews from past guests, the hotel has 16 rooms, and also operates a residence for a more independent stay.

L'Antico Pozzo ResidenceL'Antico Pozzo is a residence where you can enjoy an independent stay in the beautiful lakeside town. Consisting of six recently-refurbished mini-apartments, the residence is in the centre of town very close to the steamer landing.
